The primary purpose of the meeting was to discuss the Finance Committees’ memo to the CPC. The
meeting began at 4:00 p.m. with a round-robin discussion on the various concerns presented by the
Finance Committees’ memo. Deb Brown opened by apologizing for how the memo landed with the
CPC and explained that it was written to outline concerns the Finance Committees have relative to
CPC’s struggle to fund Town building projects. A general discussion ensued and touched upon CPA
history, philosophy, project applications, community endorsement, and general interpretation.
Following this discussion, a member of the CPC made a motion to go into Executive Session for a
Land Acquisition negotiation discussion. The motion was supported unanimously by roll call vote and
the four non-CPC members present were invited to join in this Executive Session. The Chair
announced that there was no intent to return to open session.
