John proposed a steering committee composed of himself DAC , Norma DAC LCC , Marge LCC , Tom Coffman DAC , Myla Neighborhoods . He had talked with John Davies, and John D . nould go back to 'ADC to see if they felt he could be available . It was concluded that David Dixon would contact 1 ) John Frey and 2) Norma Bogen for their needs and leads . The core working group would review the scope . it is our intent thatgroups such as the Council for the Arts , headed by Kerry Brandon be kept informed . The consultant should be provided with all former studies which are relevant. The Planning Board would be a resource for these . Zoning regulations are there as well Areas of general discussion 1 . Will Peter Johnson meet with merchants if we initiate' 2. We should spell out priorities . 3 . It was suggested that the citizen needed a guide for "minimum submittal"when appearing before a board. It was later discovered that there is already wording to describe this . 4+. Signs - can we expect regulations , ideas for merchants? could it lead to a sign by-law "by right" with review by DAC" 5. Award for best lot for parking - calligraphy by Elaine This led to a unanimous feeling that an annual award be presented by the DAC to a commercial owner who has done something to enhance the public view. 8 Lighting.
