Selectmen s Meeting Room The meeting was opened by Co-chairman jack Eddison who presented the members of the Committee with a draft report to the Special Town Meeting of September 25th outlining the progress the Committee had made over the summer Members were asked to comment and make suggestion: fur improving the draft. Their responses and the ensuing discussion filled a substantial portion of the session. Note was taken of the proposal at the end of the report to have the Committee meet with interested Town Meeting members on Thursday evening, November 30 to discuss interim findings and to obtain feedback and comment. This was agreed to. Co-chairman Ellie Klauminzer then asked for Committee reactions to a draft questionnaire which she had circulated on attitudes in Lexington towards affordable housing. The Committee gave its general approval to the questionnaire while making suggestions for the rewording or deletion of several questions. bider other business members were alerted to a meeting on October second, in which representatives of the Middlesex County Commissioners would be giving the Selectmen an updating on the County s plans for disposition of land adjacent to the Middlesex County Hospital, off Trapelo Rd. and Walnut St. It was agreed that the frequency of meetings of the Committee and its task forces should be biweekly during the fall and winter in light of the heavy demands of other activities on members time It was also agreed that more attention should he paid to getting information to and feedback from Town Meeting members regarding the issues the Committee faces and its preliminary responses to those issues. The Committee would also like to have a joint meeting with the Pine Meadows- Meagherville Site Development Committee and suggested October 19 as the date for such a meeting.
