Transit Guide,2002. A draft of text,provided prior to the meeting,was discussed. Comments and suggestions to improve clarity will be incorporated into a revision that will be given to the graphic designer. A prototype will be made available at Town Hall prior to printing. 2. Depot Square Boarding. Depot Square construction forced a new boarding site. It is located in the Meriam Street parking lot parallel to the bike path. Buses will enter and exit through Meriam Street until construction is completed. 3. Special Need Issues. Blind individuals presenting a MA Commission for Blind ID card can ride LEXPRESS for free,as is the policy for the META and Waltham CitiBus. Handicap decals will be placed on the front of the buses to alert riders that a wheelchair lift is available. The inbound MBTA stop on Wood Street near Hayden Avenue(across from Cathadian Woods)will be explored to improve safety 4. LEXPRESS Ridership. A formula to represent ridership not captured by fares is needed. No system is currently in place. 5. Database, Bill Levison presented additional analysis of the May,2001, ridership data, October is viewed as the most representative month and ridership data will be analyzed when available for this year. 6. Selectmen liaisons. Don Graham will verify TAC and MBTA liaisons. 7 Van for Group Home. Sally Castleman inquired as to ideas in securing a used van for a special needs group home.SCM and Caravan were suggested. 8. Public Transportation Options Explored by Hanscom Businesses. Businesses adjacent to Hanscom Field are conducting meetings to explore public transportation options for employees and to identify resources. Hartwell TMA might be able to combine with this effort. Gail Wagner will stay involved. 9 Minutes of August 8,2001,meeting were approved. 10. Next Meeting. Wednesday October 3,2001.
