1 TAC Recruitment. Ruth Hegwein,a senior LEXPRESS rider for the past seven
years attended the meeting as a guest. She was invited as an outcome of several
discussions with Gail Wagner at Depot Square.Ruth expressed her concern that the
current LEXPRESS buses discourage older riders because of the increased height
from the street to the first step. She mentioned that this issue is exacerbated at
Greeley Village where there is limited curbing.Don Graham explained that the new
buses were selected for performance and durability The previous buses which had a
lower step are no longer manufactured.
Personal contact was recommended as the most effective method of recruitment.
