1. Nancy Kolb reported on the status of the LEXPRESS RPP The Selection Committee is
considering recommending service using the World Trans 3000.This vehicle is more
expensive to run than the other proposals received,and the benefits must be weighed
against the costs by both the Transportation Advisory Committee and Board of
Selectmen. The Cost-Benefit analysis was discussed. TAC members wish to rccommend
the World Trans if the Selectmen can support the additional cost of the veiiicie,and will
write a memo to this effect.
2. The LEXPRESS logo and bus design were discussed. These two items of the marketing
program are on the fast track due to the upcoming proposal award, followed by a vehicle
order which will need to include painting specifications.The bus design process has not
begun yet as the bus decision is still in flux.Potential color schemes were discussed.
3. Sally Castleman and Don Graham volunteered to work a LEXPRESS booth on Discovery
Day.
4. The minutes of the March 17 1999 meeting were approved.
5. The meeting adjourned so that decorations for the Patriot's Day Parade could be made.
