1 Approval of Minutes March 20 TAC Meeting Approved
2 Bus Routes
Recap of meeting with MBTA Service Planning Office re Depot Square and Locke Village I
Locke Village Change to Route 5 TAC agreed to recommend a change to route 5 to accomodate a request I
for service to Locke Village. Recommendation to Board of Selectmen will be made at their July 1, 1996 mtg.
Change route combinations to 1/2; 3/4; 5/6 Current combinations are 215;1/6; and 3/4. .Routes 2/5 are both I
long routes. During rush hour periods when one or both of these routes run longer than 30 mins. there's no
opportunity to make up the time. Combining route 1 with route 2 would place our shortest and longest routes together
I and allow makeup time between the two routes. TAC agreed to recommend 112,3/4,516 combinations on 7/1196
3 I Depot Square Bob Ossman and Dave Wells have brought by a scheme that places Lexpress on Massachusetts Ave. I
IIn front of Depot Square and Shawmut Bank. TAC will review and give comments to Dave Wells. D.Graham will I
contact Dave Wells and S.Arnold will contact B.Ossman about TAC concerns re transfers.
4 Updates on pending proposals:
TDM proposal see enclosed letter to Shawn Holland&revised budget 6196 B.Lucas rec'd news of likely
approval of the TDM trolley service proposal from Elizabeth Newman at MAPC.
Transportation Enhancement/Depot Square see enclosed letter 6/11196 E.Newman, MAPC said we should
expect a letter by the end of June from Sec.of Transportation Kerasiotis indicating approval of funding.
5 Marketing/Revenue:
Updates from S.Arnold&B. Lucas S.Arnold reported on conversation with D. Busa. B. Lucas looking into
costs and potential charges.
6 Miscellaneous
a. Discovery Day Buses ran free service in Lexington.
b. Map E.Greene will again work on Transit Guide for 1996197
} c Other Report to the Selectmen July 1,1996: Question raised: Is the Purity Supreme Senior Shopping I
bus still operating? B. Lucas will check. At the next TAC meeting,the committee will determine what issues
to report upon at the July 1 Selectmen's meeting. On TAC's behalf, B.Lucas has requested time on the
Selectmen's July 1 agenda for a report from TAC. I
