Items To Be Discussed ✓
1 Including Transportation as a consideration in planning and rezoning applications a✓
TAC and the Transportation Services Office should come up with a plan for including transportation as an
element in the planning and the rezoning process with specific recommendations for policies.
A. See letter from Robert Bowyer, Director, Lexington Planning Office
B. See Planning Board 'Inclusionary Housing Policy"as an example of how housing has been included in the
Planning Process.
Bob Bowyer has indicated that we have about 4-6 weeks to identify a policy, meet with one to two members of the
Planning Board to discuss it,and bring our recommendations to the full Planning Board. Would a subcommittee be
a useful way to proceed?
I Tasks: B. Lucas will contact MAPC and State Transportation Library for experiences of other communities in
considering transportation in planning and rezoning applications.B.Lucas will call towns with experience.
L. Pacocha and B. Lucas will review MAPC and STL material.
D.Graham will contact Sverdrup Fred Rosenberg and Mike Almeda at MBTA for input; and S.Arnold will
contact Lance Neumann&John Attanucciabout committee membership and info on planning&zoning
policies. The best material will be copied and sent to other TAC members.
TAC will meet on Nov.3 at 7:30 a.m.to discuss findings and begin considering recommendations.
Posted 10/20/95 Room 111. S.Arnold and B.Lucas will write to Planning Board and relay our plans
and timing.
2 New unlimited pass prices (attached). I meant to give you thie'material at the last meeting. As in previous
years, I expect to discount the"annual"pass prices for nine, eight, and seven months. Please let me know a✓
if you have concerns about the proposed prices.TAC agreed to proposed changes.
3 Ridership Survey Sample questions TAC reviewed Bob Sawyer's desire to work with the Transportation a✓
Services Office in a survey of Hartwell Avenue employees re their use of&desire for alternate transportation.
TAC agreed, in principle,to cooperate but will have to revisit the survey questions. Several members had
questions about the proposed questionnaire. Lucas will get back to Sawyer re this decision. I
Questions for the previous pass holder survey need to be written. B. Lucas would be happy for help on this.
