The questions are straightforward and if we ask the same questions on Hartwell Ave. we should have a means of comparing/combining responses. Please come to the meeting prepared to suggest changes,if any to this questionnaire. We have promised the bike committee that we will add 2-3 bike related questions. TAC approved using the questions in the Hanscomb Air Force Base survey for the Hartwell Avenue survey. Don Graham brought three suggestions for questions to add for bicycles. B.Lucas will contact Bob Sawyer to work on finalizing the survey and getting it to the employers on Hartwell Ave. 2 Transportation Services budget Enclosed is a copy of the proposed FY97 request for LEXPRESS, Chair Car and ✓ administrative budgets. This budget includes funding for the baseline service for LEXPRESS, it allows a 5%increase in chair car costs* and indicates personal services funding levels provided by the Town Manager's Office. The 'Depot Square' Budget page adds an additional bus to maintain service levels if Lexpress is moved out of the Square. TAC recommended adding a supplemental budget request for a shelter. B. Lucas will prepare. Budsc,p97 &r[d5 3 Transportation Services Office Reorgan¢ation into Department of Public Works. Enclosed is a paper prepared at the ✓ Town Manager's request which recommends placing Transportation Services in the Department of Public Works. The Town Manager wishes to act on the reorganization and has asked for comments from the TAC. TAC agreed to ask Richard White to attend the Dec. 13th TAC meeting to discuss his vision of the reorgani- zation plan. TAC members also indicated a desire to talk with DPW Director George Woodbury about how a reorganization might be implemented. 4 TAC Recommendation to Planning Board on Tranportation/Rezoning Policies. A subgroup of TAC has been meeting ✓ to prepare a response to the Planning Board's request for a trnasportation guildeline for rezoning as discussed at the 11/18 meeting. Don Graham will bring us up to date on the status of the guidelines.TAC reviewed draft prepared by D.Graham. D.Graham and B. Lucas will try to meet informally with Bob Bowyer and one or two planning brd. members before the Planning Board's November 27 meeting to see if the current draft is in the range MEETING=NOT.Eq. f- of what is desired by the Board. 5 Request from TMO for All town committees to indicate that town-owned land/Rangeway is not needed by Town. Enclosed is a request from the Town Manager's Office to indicate whether it is in the town's interest to retain ownership of a land parcel. No TAC members object to the Town's disposing of the land on Rangeway. 6 Locke Village Peter Kelley has requested Lexpress service for this multi-housing residence complex on Lowell Street. 12/13 11/10/95 12:30 run on Route 5 took 39 minutes. Locke Village stop is estimated to require a route change and take an additional minute under light traffic conditions. P Kelley will meet with the TAC on Dec. 13, 1995 7 Misc. S.Arnold indicated that Steve Hurley of the Design Advisory Committee will meet with TAC at some point In the near future to discuss the Depot Square designs. Misc. October 18 Minutes were approved as read.
