Patriots' Day Parade Theme LEXPRESS treasures its passengers S Arnold working on cartoon drawings for windows, asked committee for help coloring signs and decorating bus on April 20 B Mix asked if LEXPRESS bus could be behind LHS Class of '42 which will be walking in case members want to ride bus P Burke will check with Celebrations Comm. 3. Town Meeting Preparation F Rosenberg gave background on issues that will probably be brought up at Town Meeting One group plans amendment to override and eliminate LEXPRESS Fred part of group but opposes touching LEXPRESS Has } made his feelings known and will pursue on floor and at TMMA information meeting Handout should include budget facts, who uses, why do we need it, use comparison with other mini-bus towns as reverse side (F Rosenberg offered to do graphs) Letters of support should go to Minute-man S Arnold mentioned J Attanucci , who has two students with passes, would speak on LEXPRESS behalf Presentation draft for J Eddison and notes for S Arnold to be prepared asap--S Arnold away 4/23 to 4/28 Be ready with alternative scenario for seniors only, total budget, ridership stats, etc 4. Fare Increase P Burke has not given info to Lance Neuman Will do so as soon as possible Committee suggested two possibilities $1 00 across board and $1 00 for adults, $ 75 for students and seniors Keep in mind increased fares have to be approved by Selectmen and posted for 30 days. 5. ADA Update S Arnold reported on meeting with Enablement Committee relative to educating community about effect of ADA on Lexington Forum or public hearing scheduled for June 2 Another planning meeting on April 14 S Arnold brought committee up to date about Depot Square accessibility Meeting set up for April 13 with D Spiers and P Chalpin from DPW, 0 Wells from Lexington Center Committee, and B Harris from Enablement Committee S Arnold not able to attend because of work conflict P Burke will conduct initial meeting to get things moving P Burke reported on ADA Paratransit plan and 3/23 meeting with DOT Federal Transit Admin Discussion about letter of request to MBTA for Lexington to use their paratransit service to comply with ADA As soon as approved, will have to prepare Lexington's paratransit plan for submission to DOT Meeting adjourned at 10 15 p m.
