SELECTMEN'S MEETING
EXECUTIVE SESSION
February 3, 1997
PRESENT. Selectmen Chairman McSweeney,Mr. Dailey,Mr. Busa, Mr Fenn, Mrs. Eddison,
Mr White, Town Manager, Ms. Crew Vine, Assistant Town Manager; Mr. Cohen, Town
Counsel and Ms. Smith, Executive Clerk.
Collective Bargaining
Mr McSweeney reported that Joe Dim had sent a memo to Jeff Young and the School
Committee suggesting they engage in Collective Bargaining with the LEA concerning the 1
1/2%wage increase guidelines
Mr. White indicated that he had reviewed the FY98 School budget at the request of Mr
McSweeney and he had several areas of concern. Mr. McSweeney indicated he would be having
a meeting on Fnday the 7th and 14th with the School representatives to come to some conclusion
for closing the budget gap which may have collective bargaining.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to adjourn at 9.55 p.m.
