SELECTMEN'S MEETING
EXECUTIVE SESSION
March 18, 1996
PRESENT. Selectmen. Chairman McSweeney,Mr Dailey, Mr Busa, Mr Fenn; Mr. White,
Town Manager; Mr Cohen, Town Counsel and Ms Smith, Executive Clerk.
Land Acquisition
Mr. Dailey reported on the progress of the acquisition of the Augusta property He indicated that
he had spoken to the trustees and had offered $150,000 They have a lot at the end of Spencer
Street and have an application in to the Planing Board for subdivision approval They will be in
a better position on the Augusta property if they can say to the creditors that they have Planning
Board approval for the Spencer Street lot and if the Town would purchase that lot also. The
Spencer street lot is an 18,000 square foot lot.
Mr. Dailey also reported that the Exxon Station is back on the market for$367,000. They are
willing to entertain an offer from the Town. He hopes to get back to them next week.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to adjourn at 9.18 p.m
