Town Counsel; Mr. White, Town Manager, Mrs. Novak, Assistant Town Manager and Ms

Land Acquisition
Joyce Miller explained that several groups had approached the Conservation Commission
concerning several locations in Lexington that need to be protected. The Conservation
Commission under Article 24 will be proposing to acquire the Meagherville and Willards
Woods sites, the Sutherland Road School site, a piece on Marrett Road adjacent to Vine
Brook and the Worthen road corridor. The Commission will also attempt to acquire a parcel
off Woburn Street that abuts the bike path in exchange for part of the Marrett Road site.
The Board members suggested that the Conservation Commission go ahead and use their best
judgment.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to adjourn at 9:50 p.m.
