SELECTMEN'S MEETING
EXECUTIVE SESSION
October 2, 1995
Present. Selectmen Chairman McSweeney, Mr. Dailey, Mr. Busa, Mr. Fenn, Mrs. Eddison;
Ms Novak, Assistant Town Manager; Mr. Cohen, Town Counsel; and Ms. Smith, Executive
Clerk
Litization/Mediation
Mr. McSweeney and Mrs. Eddison reviewed the verbal agreement reached in mediation on
the Route 2A project. Mr. Cook reviewed the estimated redesign costs of $270,000 and
because they have thirteen year old data, they will need new survey information, which
effectively means they will have to start all over again. Mr. Cook was asked to provide a
breakdown of the anticipated redesign costs before the Board takes a vote to proceed with the
project.
Board members agreed that Mr. McSweeney and Mrs. Eddison should sign the agreement
reached in mediation.
Mr. Cohen reviewed a litigation matter in which a decision to order the owner of a dog to
muzzle and restrain his dog was upheld. It is not yet known whether the owner of the dog
will appeal the District Court decision.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to adjourn at 9:45 p.m
