EXECUTIVE SESSION
October 16, 1995
Present- Selectmen Chairman McSweeney, Mr. Dailey, Mr. Busa, Mr. Fenn, Mrs. Eddison;
Mr. White, Town Manager; Ms. Novak, Assistant Town Manager; Mr. Cohen, Town Counsel;
and Ms. Smith, Executive Clerk
Collective Bargaining
Mr. White reviewed a letter from the business agent for the dispatcher union, who is also
business agent for the DPW union. The letter concerns a position that AFSCME takes that
does not permit cadets, police officers and firefighters filling in on dispatcher duties.
Litigation/Mediation
Leo McSweeney reviewed the funding of the redesign of the Route 2A project resulting from
the agreement recently reached in mediation. Mr. McSweeney suggested contacting our
legislators asking for their support of 50% state funding of the design work from now to the
completion of the project.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to adjourn at 10.35 p.m.
