EXECUTIVE SESSION (�

Present: Selectmen Chairman McSweeney, Mr. Busa, Mr. Fenn, Mr. White, Town Manager,
Ms Novak, Assistant Town Manager; Mr. Cohen, Town Counsel; and Ms. Smith, Executive
Clerk
Land Acauisition
Joyce Miller, Chairman of the Conservation Commission and David Williams, Chairman of
the Land Acquisition Committee were present to discuss two parcels of land they feel are in
need of protection and which they would like to pursue acquiring for the Town. The two
parcels discussed were the frontage of the Grey Nuns property on Massachusetts Avenue and
the Augusta property in the Great Meadow. They are also seeking the assistance of a
member of the Board in any acquisition discussions. Mr. McSweeney said he had talked iii,
Bill Dailey and he will be happy to help on this project.
Chairman McSweeney asked whether the Augusta property, if acquired, would also be for
recreational use. Joyce said they would have no concerns to have the article read for
conservation/recreation purposes.
Joyce and David were encouraged to pursue these two acquisitions.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to adjourn at 9:27 p.m.
