HomeMy WebLinkAbout1995-12-04 BOS ES Min released 4-99.pdf ES6-59 SELECTMEN'S MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION December 4, 1995 Present Selectmen Chairman McSweeney, Mr Dailey, Mr. Fenn, Mrs. Eddison, Mr White, Town Manager, Mr. Cohen, Town Counsel and Ms. Smith, Executive Clerk Land Acquisition Mr Dailey reported on developments concerning the Grey Nuns plans for an Article for the 1996 Annual Town Meeting He has had discussions with Attorney Fred Conroy who is representing the Grey Nuns and feels they will be receptive to a conservation easement across the front of their property on Massachusetts Avenue Mr Dailey also reported on the situation with respect to the Augusta property The property is now part of the assets of a bankruptcy proceeding It is expected that a selling pnce of $350,000 to $500,000 would be necessary to satisfy creditors of the estate. The Conservation Commission is thinking of$100,000 to $125,000 The neighbors on Maple Street have indicated a willingness to grant a conservation easement.
