January 4, 1995 ---
Present: Selectmen Chairman Dailey, Mr. McSweeney, Mr. Busa, Mr. Fenn, Mrs. Eddison;
Mr Cohen, Town Counsel; Mr. White, Town Manager
Mr. White informed the Board that he had learned from Chief Casey that an investigative
grand jury proceeding was being held with respect to the Dempsey matter.
Collective Bargaining
Mr. White reviewed the status of collective bargaining with the various unions. The Public
Works Union has settled for this year. The Police Union has been very slow in initiating
negotiations Negotiations with the Fire Union are underway. The Manager indicated that a
two-year contract might help in reaching a settlement. Since this fiscal year is already half
over, the Board indicated that a two-year contract with the Fire Union should be explored
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to adjourn at 11:40 p.m.
