The meeting was called to order at 7:15 p.m.
1. Proposal to 2006 Town Meeting – Fire Station
Betsey announced that an amendment had been submitted Article 28 (c) of the Town
Warrant to reduce the proposed expenses for the fire station renovation from $100,000 to
$50,000, because it was felt that the Town was not far enough along in the project
planning to be able to use the funds in this fiscal period. She reported that Capital and
Appropriations support the amendment; the Selectmen are opposed. She requested
Committee input as to whether we should reduce our CPC funding proposal by a like
amount.
It was moved, seconded and unanimously approved that we should submit the Fire
Station project for $100,000 notwithstanding the proposed amendment and other
committee objections.
