Community Preservation Committee Minutes
April 19, 2006
Attending: Joel Adler, Norman Cohen, Marilyn Fenollosa, Wendy Manz,
Leo McSweeney, Richard Pagett, Sandy Shaw, Betsey Weiss
Not Attending: Dick Wolk
The meeting was called to order at 5:05 p.m.
1. Insert in July Tax Bill
It has been confirmed that we can insert a piece in the July tax bill explaining the Community
Preservation Act and how it will work in Lexington. A sample statement by the Town of
Sudbury was passed out. Marilyn and Betsey will work on the Lexington statement.
2. Report to 2006 Annual Town Meeting
Committee approved minor changes to the report to be given to the current town meeting.
3. Project Application Process
The Committee went over in some detail the application process which was presented in draft
form by Richard and Sandy. It was agreed that Sandy would incorporate the suggestions made
by the Committee and that a new draft would be considered at the next meeting.
4. Website
A discussion was had as to whether the Committee should have its own website or be included
on the Town’s website. It was agreed that Marilyn and Betsey will make a list of what should be
on the website and submit it to the Town for incorporation onto the Town’s website.
5. Minutes
It was moved and seconded to approve the minutes of March 30, 2006 and April 5, 2006.
6. Next Meeting
The next meeting will be on Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at 5:00 p.m.
It was moved and seconded to adjourn the meeting at 6:30 p.m.
