HomeMy WebLinkAbout09.28.00.pdf LEXINGTON BOARD OF APPEALS September 28,2000 Pursuant to notice in the Lexington Minuteman,a newspaper of general circulation in the Town, published on September 14 and September 21,2000 and notice sent by mail postage prepaid,to all interested parties pursuant to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws,public hearings were held in the Town Office Building on the petitions listed below Acting on the petitions were Chairman Robert V Whitman,Francis W K Smith,Robert F Sacco, and Associate Members Jacqueline B Davison and Arthur C Smith 12 Warren St,Gillian and George Overholser requested a variance of dimensional controls,Table 2 of the Zoning Bylaw,to restore a front deck to the right side of the front of a nonconforming single-family dwelling,which would connect to an existing side deck,and have a front yard setback of 23 7 feet instead of the required 30 feet at 12 Warren Street 74 Simonds Rd,Joseph and Kathleen Nezuh requested a variance of dimensional controls,Table 2 of the Zoning Bylaw,to replace a nonconforming,detached 1-car garage with a new,attached 2-car garage and mudroom,having a rear yard setback of 7 feet instead of the required 15 feet and a side yard setback of 3 feet instead of the required 10 feet at 74 Simonds Road 44 Greenwood St,Kenneth and Gail Flowers requested a variance of dimensional controls,Table 2 of the Zoning Bylaw,for a front portico and two bay windows with a front yard setback of approximately 29 feet to the portico roof overhang(with 26 2 feet to the existing front steps)instead of the required 30 feet at 44 Greenwood Street Decisions filed with the Town Clerk 12 Warren St -Variance granted by unanimous vote 74 Simonds Rd - Variance for 7-ft rear yard setback granted by unanimous vote,3-ft side yard setback not granted 44 Greenwood St - Variance granted by unanimous vote,noting garage setback previously granted is now 26 ft The meeting adjourned at approximately 9 OOpm Respectfully submitted, Sheila M Marian,Administrative Clerk Note Please see decisions for details
