Title II - Municipal, County and State Facilities
Curb cuts
Bushnell Drive and Worthen Road - Mrs. Barrett (862-5633) has talked with George
Woodbury who said that he was in favor of curb cuts at this highly traveled location. Emily
checked this out. Needed. Steve will send memo
Worthen Road and Waltham Street - curb cuts and central island - see memo to George
Woodbury from Emily Silberberg dated 4/28/97
Title Ill - Place of Public Accommodation
29 Hartwell Ave. - Bob Harris, Emily Silberberg and Steve Baran will write a letter to the
Building Inspector regarding change of use from an industrial to a medical facility
Lowell Street and Woburn Street - Highway Department reports that construction was
scheduled to be completed this month but due to Maple St. bridge construction work is now
( delayed at the request of the Town until the end of August.
171 Mass. Ave. - Bank of Boston - Dan Murphy following up with Steve Fix, Facilities
Coordinator (861-1380) re lack of counter accessibility Brian Caples is the branch manager
758 Marrett Rd. - Cambridge Savings - Dan Murphy following up with Andrea Jones re lack of
counter accessibility Martin Yost is the Branch Officer Their number is 864-8700.
6 Meriam St. - Food Pantry - Church of our Redeemer Lorraine Buonomo and Gary Strong
followed up re ramping. Facility is accessible.
407 Waltham St. (Bruegger's Bagel) - Myra Berloff at MOD has confirmed that this parking lot
requires handicap parking spaces. Rick Safford has prepared a diagram of the lot. Bob Harris
and Emily Silberberg will draft a letter to Steve Frederickson. See attached memo from MOD
Handicap parking - Emily Silberberg in touch with Town with intention of increasing number of
handicap spaces in accordance with ADA requirements while avoiding, to the extent possible,
removing existing metered spaces.
Commercial buildings - Steve Frederickson requested 3/25/97 to alert Enablement Committee
when issuing building permits. Steve F is working on putting together a committee.

Post Office - Jolley Anne Weinstock is writing to Post Office Committee to request
electronically operated door to post office even though it complies with ADA.
