Purnose - The Enablement Committee was established az aa advisory sub- � p�
committee to the Human Services Committee that focusses on handicapped � (e�
affairs. 7'he committee has an "ad hoc" status and is not formally �o�
ap�intcd. The goal of lhe commitlee is to improvc the quality of life for Hoc
all people in l.e�tington. To aecomplish this goal, the committee works to �L
enable pcop�e with disabilities to parlicipate in everyday aclivities by
focussing on accessibility, transportation, recreation, housing, and lhe
cducalion of non-Jisablcd pcople. �� �
