Next Meeting Wed June 14, 4 p m 2 1/2 Override Discussion Mon June 5, 1 p m Minutes of April 12 approved with addition of County after Middlesex Senior Prom The Lions Club and the High School financed the Senior Prom at the Elks Club (who donated the hall) and it was a great success Letters will be sent to all donors Lexington Gardens donated a gazebo for prom photos, local florists donated flowers Director's Report A petition was circulated to request that the quilt be moved to a location where it can be seen up close Firemen will have to take it down with a ladder Problems where to hang it and how to protect it from people touching it Decorator ' s Show House All decorators have been chosen The house will be painted outside and the grounds will be landscaped There will be a program with advertisements Also, a cookbook with 300 recipes Lahev Clinic Prosect W: A meeting was held May 24 at Brookhaven to explain their mission to integrate elder services Minute-Man and C 0 A Board members attended Senior Service Corps Agencies and Town departments responded with needs- many clerical We are exploring ideas of a Community Service Summit in April with Marc Friedman as the speaker A part-time paid person will be needed to coordinate the program and get the idea off the ground A possible source of money maybe the Trustee of Public Trusts funds Becky Clarke will talk to Dan Fenn The subcommittee (Becky Clarke, Eugene Isotti and Jackie Davison) will continue working By Laws Article II of the by-laws will be ammended to allow two-year terms A vote will be taken at the June Board Meeting N. A replacement for Frank Chen, Secretary for September and October was discussed Phyllis Rand volunteered to service out his term Vote to be taken at the June Board meeting Education Committee Report Discussed the June 14th meeting titled, Keeping Up Your Home The Hidden Costs Dan McCabe, Dana Ham, and Karen Santucci will speak and Jackie Davison will be the moderator The speakers will provide handouts A part-time housing specialist from the Winchester Senior Center will be invited Friends of the Council On Aging The Friends requested permission to spend $6 , 000 to replace the dining room tables A motion was made and seconded to approve their request Lona-Ranae Planning Wednesday, June 21st from 8-11 a m. was set as the date We need to think of goals, a topic as well as a director/moderator Julia Novak from the Town Manager 's Office will be asked to lead discussion Breakfast will be provided A visit to the Chelmsford Senior Center will be arranged Respectfully submitted, Jackie Davison, Secretary Pro Tem
