HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-03-08-PBC-min.pdf TOWN OF LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS PERMANENT BUILDING COMMITTEE Minutes of Thursday March 8, 2001 in Lexington High School construction trailer The meeting was called to order by Chairman Kelly at 5:40pm with other PBC members; W Pierce, M. Touart, P Poinelli present. Also attending were architect Stephen Hale, Library Director Carol Mahoney, and Project Manager Bill Kealy The advertisement for the project is scheduled to run in the Central Register on Wednesday March 14 2001 The drawings and specs are due to be ready March 21, 2001 Stephen Hale made a request for additional staff Stephen had sent the request to Bill Kealy cost $13,625. According to Stephen he has the personnel already working on the plans. Engineers Desian Grout. All of the comments from Engineers Design Group have been incorporated into the plans and the specs according to Stephen Hale. The mechanical drawings have not been available to anyone to review to date Stephen Hale thinks that the mechanical will be available on Monday, March 12, 2001 General comments on the plans Walter Pierce—the plans are lacking window details, very few vertical or horizontal wall details, and few interior details. Phil Poinelli —there is a great deal of work that still needs to be done on the plans. The committee then reviewed the schedule for the plans and specs to be ready on Wednesday March 21 2001 After much discussion the PBC agreed to an extension for the architect to continue working on the plans and specs. The plans and specs are now due to be available for bidders on Wednesday, April 6,2001 Pre-bid meeting, Tuesday, April 17, 2001 File sub bids due, Monday, April 30, 2001 General Contractors due, Wednesday, May 9, 2001 Respectfully submitted Carol A.
