Kealv's renort gave a newly revised schedule for the high school, as discussed at a meeting
December 1 Library is in progress and cafeteria is done. Three of the four parking lot lights are up,
but the fourth was vandalized and waits for bolts. A new company Walsh, has been hired for the
site work, to replace Site, Inc., who was released by Peabody Construction. They will start
tomorrow Grease traps are needed for the drains from the cafeteria kitchen.
Eastern's CPM has just been received. According to them they are "on schedule" although at Clarke
there are material problems; windows are delayed; and at Diamond, the steel is only 80 percent up.
Eastern's requisition claims 40 percent completion, but the schedule suggests they are really only at
35 percent. Kennedy urged pressing Eastern to "get on with it' A change order is anticipated for
the roof at Diamond as well as for the door added at the Clarke science room.
Reauisitions from Eastern and Peabody were passed around for review and comment. Change
Order Number 9 for$45,972 for the high school was also discussed. PBC members raised questions
about the large number of man-hours (177) and high cost of materials. Kealy reported that Sullivan
signed off on the number of hours for the six people working on the job. Both Lewis and Kealy
expressed surprise at the appearance of this change order. More explanation was requested. The
committee members complained about the lateness of the change order since the work for it was
actually done between the end of September and Columbus Day weekend.
Elementary schools draft contract copy was passed around.
