TREASURER' S REPORT Wednell distributed -the year-end FY87 Fiscal report
In FY' 87 in the Town Budget there were expenses of $52, 968 , or about
$2,500 underbudget He commented on the DEA Grant Fund We started
with a balance of about $2,800, we received a little over $10)000 and spent
$6600 , so our ending balance built up to $6,700 We have flexibility with
these funds and next year will again receive $11,000 That fund we get
from the State based on the 60+ population of the town The Selectmen' s
Gift Account is an account that the Town Comptroller maintains just for
the use of the C 0 A We started with $7,500 and ended with $15000 The
reason for the buildup of funds is due to the Social Day Care Program
The revenues are higher than expenses and that will be true next year
The Friends of C 0 A balance started with $24000 and it ended with
$29,000 Pages 2 and 3 show details of expenditures by category We are
in good financial condition and should we venture into new fields we are
in a position to move ahead without waiting for approval from the Town to
appropriate funds Forty percent of the funds that flow through us are
now coming from other than Town appropriated funds, not counting the
funds from the Friends of the C 0 A
