Dan Joyner, Bhumip Khashnabish, Kathleen Lenihan (School Committee), Carol Marine, Bob
Peters (planning Board), Catherine Wang
Absent: Marian Cohen, Andrew Dixon, Shannon Murtagh; Ambilu Silvistri, Min Zhao
The meeting was called to order: 7:45 am

Minutes:
The approval of minutes from May 31, 2024, was moved by Bob Peters and seconded by
John Giudice.

The vote was unanimous.
Meeting Highlights:
New Member Introduction
Catherine Yan is currently the co-president of the High School PTO. She has become more
interested in town affairs since moving here, especially the schools.
VFL Website Report on Emails
No emails this month.
John Guidice suggested that the agenda include the website address for the VFL committee.

Update on Subcommittee on Voter Participation in Lexington

Jill Hai reported on Town actions to advertise voting dates in Lexington: Town warrant mailed to
every household, mailings for special election to every household, reverse 911 calls, banner on
Mass Ave, electronic signboards. Kathleen Lenihan mentioned the lack of engagement by voters;
and use of texting.
Future study on housing
Andrew Dixon, John Giudice, Shannon Murtagh and Bob Peters.
Add Carol Marine to group.
It was decided that the group should contact the other groups in town working on housing and
coordinate efforts.
