MEETING NOTES
1. Plans do reflect most of our desires.
- The architects listened well.
- There are opinions as to where things should go.
2. Kindergarten-Bathrooms needed and also at the other end they are needed.
3. Could use another Staff men and lathes room on lower level.
4. Art room should be adjacent to storage rooms. (Storage and Kiln)
5. Music mom-could they have a multi-purpose room for chorus,Lextended, etc.
6. Specialists would like to have input into design of actual space room layout.
7 Special needs would like to be together.
- Reading recovery needs to be close to SPED and contain bookcases.
8. Heat: New boiler already coming. Classrooms will be dealt with as part of the
renovation.
9 Library should be functional and simple. They would like a big flexible space.
10. Lockers throughout but not enough. Two kindergarten rooms have coat rooms
which is nice.
11. Want a PTA room.
12. Need gym equipment storage desperately and a place to store the chairs.
13. Teachers dining room should be away from cafeteria.
14. Like doors between rooms-No on movable partitions.
15. Aides need to be near copy room.
- Office area needs to be redesigned. The secretary has ideas for that and will
draw it out for the PBC.
