Attendees: Jenny Corduck, Melinda Loof, Kara Kunkler-Peck, Joan Strodel, Brandy Hartford,
Chris Robinson, Kate Babineau, Lance Zhang
• Welcome
• Parent Updates: Parents initiated a discussion regarding school start time for
elementary school students and wondered if an adjustment to earlier was something
that was being discussed. Ms. Corduck explained that she did not know if anyone had
initiated a discussion and also thought that in previous years, it was something that
could potentially be explored at a future date.
• School Updates:
• Discuss DRAFT 4.1.24 Bowman Innovation Plan - Ms. Corduck previously
shared the draft of the Innovation Plan and requested that members of the site
council review in advance of the meeting. Council members provided feedback
and answered questions regarding the plan. The parents suggested adding an
appendix to the plan that defined the education terms so that it would be
accessible to the public.
• METCO transition Plan Update - Ms. Corduck updated the parents regarding the
consolidation of the LPS elementary METCO program. She described in detail
the transition plan for students and families.

o Staffing levels for next year- Ms. Corduck shared that due to enrollment
projections, we were adding a first and a third grade classroom. She shared the
process for hiring and identifying teachers for both classrooms.
