Members in Attendance: Margaret Coppe, Dan Joyner, Eileen Zalisk, Jeri Zeder
Members Absent: Marian Cohen, Fernando Quezada
The meeting was called to order at 10:14 AM. A quorum was present. Chair Jeri Zeder read the script for
remotely conducted open meetings.
Members voted unanimously: Coppe Aye, Joyner Aye, Zalisk, Aye, Zeder, Aye.
Approval of the April 19, 2024, minutes was moved by Jeri Zeder and seconded by Dan Joyner and voted
unanimously. Voice vote: Coppe Aye, Joyner Aye, Zalisk, Aye, Zeder, Aye
Discussion items
a. Eileen Zalisk has continued working on the town government communications report. Due to technical
difficulties, it was postponed until the next month meeting.
b. Jeri Zeder reported on a partial draft of the structure of town government.
A question came up on the level of community engagement in towns with representative town meeting
and those with open town meeting. Margaret will call a select board member in Concord, Bedford, and
Lincoln (all have open town meeting)to find out the level of attendance and how voting is counted.
c. Draft recommendations to the select board were discussed. It was suggested to add moving municipal
election day from Monday to Tuesday.
Jeri moved and Dan seconded adjournment at 11:01 AM.
Members voted unanimously: Coppe Aye, Joyner Aye, Zalisk, Aye, Zeder, Aye.
The next meeting will be June 14, 2024 at 10 AM by Zoom
