PERMANENT BUILDING COMMITTEE
Minutes of March 22 1994 in Room 111 , Town Office Building
The meeting was called to order by Francis X Fields at 7 45 p m with
committee members John Bergeron, Christopher Casey, Ted Edson, John
Kennedy, Dan McCabe, Jim Scanlon and Mary Lou Touart
Town Buildings Study Chairman Fields passed around his 3-page plus
appendix summary of the Archetype Architecture, Inc facility study of
town building Principal among the categories of work needed on town
buildings were roof and masonry repairs and entrance revisions for ADA
compliance Committee members commended this brief report and
recommended that the same be done for the schools
Committee members McCabe and Touart said that they have not been invited
to work with the schools on their facilities study In any case, they
thought that the School Committee and Administration have not done all
they should to pull together and contribute toward the schools study
For this reason Archetype had to do extra work for the schools Even so,
Bargmann concluded in his study that the high school and Clarke need
further use study with strong schools input Committee noted that the
Schools Administration Building is under the jurisdiction of the town,
rather than the school department
