Review of 8rioas Roof E 'aluation Report for four schools:
Clarke Diamond Harrington and the high school At Clarke,
recommended that almost all be done ehcept for one piece
Aitchison recommended doing all at $235,000 under one guarantee,
and possibly a lower price, plus removal of coping at $30 000
Then flashing would be done, with roofing over The entire job
would cost between $255 000 and $317,000 Infrared scan is
recommended on Clarke at cost of $1 500 to $2,00t The roof
would go on over the e: isting roofing
At Diamond removal of some e: isting roofing was recommended Walkways
(
were recommended by Briggs but not accepted
At Harrington flashing is required on oripinal roof.
Noted that Briggs recommendations appear affordable.

At the high school many roof sections should be replaced,
especially the field house. PVC or Hyperion sheeting of a light
color such as white or gray is recommended Vandal-proofing is
problematic.
Chairman Kennedy advocated bidding all with alternates but no
walkways Another look at the field house vs vandalism
recommended VOTED unanimously to accept Briggs recommendations
for the roofing repairs. Alternates will be included for all
those areas considered for reroofing Also VOTED to accept
recommendation for infrared scanning of the Clarke roof but not
to accept recommendation for walkways
Roofs at Bowman and Bridoe are still a concern At Bridge
despite Hartford s efforts and repairs to drains, there are still
leaks` especially in recent heavy rains. KLQ seems not to have
been on the job Aitchison is now working on the situation
Concern was also e; pressed about the lack of progress by Cutler
on the Bowman roof , which has been power swept only Materials
are now stockpiled on the roof.
