Moved , seconded , and passed unanimously to accept the Minutes as read ACTION MOTIONS of meeting of January 9, 1980 were examined 1 A decision was made to defer action on use of $500 allocated to CoA Office from SCEOC 2 Transportation funding for MMHCC is still being researched 3 A nutrition site is yet to be researched by Sen and Weinstein MOTION. Moved, seconded , and passed unanimously to accept Treasurer' s Report ACTION Carlson reminded that Council action is necessary for recommendations re Mini-bus which has been authorized through March 1980 Melchor read the statistics re use of Mini-Bus MOTION Moved, seconded, and passed unanimously to discuss Mini-Bus use in March Council meeting Ch Report Sen read a letter from the Senior Citizen Club dated January 31 , 1980 The SC Club is having a St Patrick' s Day party on March 17 , 1980 at 12 00 at the Chesterbrook Restaur- ant CoA Council members are invited Melcher will keep a list of interested members SlIP O�S Mgum 1625 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE LEXINGTON. MASSACHUSETTS 0173 TELEPHONE (617) 6620500 Minutes of the Council on Aging February 13, 1980 ( cont) Staff Report Melchor reported that Jim Shannon, Congressman, will be at the Open House on February 19th at 10 00 a m Also present will be candidates for Town offices Melcher also reported that a Valentine Party to honor the retirement of Sylvia Merfald and the third year of the MOW program will be held on February 14th in the Great Hall at 1 30 p m New Business A memo was distributed by Hutchinson re possible fund raising for use in. lowering costs of remodelling Munroe School as possible Human Services Building Rooney spoke to the issue of the Human Services Building and the history of the four years already put into researching the possible use of the Munroe School questions were raised as to the leadership of the advocate group, support from Selectmen and other Town officials , and possible soureces of grant money to help defray cost of remodelling Selectmen have until 29th of February to make decision as to whether to use Warrant #33 to request funds for Munroe School as Human Services Building Hutchinson is awaiting more feedback from the architects re possible architectural changes in remodelling proposal The Council will be notified re future meetings re use of Munroe Intern Pressman in the Town Manager' s office will investigate money sources for aid The regular meeting of the Council on Aging on February 13, 1980 moved into Executive Session at 8 30 p m to discuss salaries of the CoA Staff Nancy Banks , Assist , to Town Manager lead the discussion { Signed s "(CU (0 , ' luck glise V Morehouse Secretary Pro Tem 4
