Carlson, Clark, Goodwin, Green, Luckmann, Rooney, Tropeano, Rubin, Staff Melcher Secretary Pro Tem Morehouse Absent V Ch. Weinstein The meeting was called to order at 7 .40 PM MOTION: Moved and seconded and passed unanimously Minutes of Aug 8th Carlson resented report on Expenses to date. MOTION Moved, seconded, and passed the Treasurer' s report. Ch Sen Presented charts showing growth of CoA budget since its founding The question was raised as to what we can eliminate or shuffle in order to keep within our budget Our budget squeeze is due to our phenomenal growth with the Citizens in the community It is apparent that we are approximately $3000 behind for this fiscal year Suggestions for tightening budget 1 No buses furnished for in-town transportation. 2. Postage to be picked up by Friends of CoA. 3. Publish Newsletter alternate months 4. Charge $1 .00 per ride for MiniBus rather than present 501. 5 Keep all contributions as donation for our hospitality fund 6. No more free bus trips 7. Charge subscription price for Newsletter. 8. Request donations towards expenses of Newsletter MULTI-SERVICE FACILITY Rooney cautiously optimistic about the possiblity for future use of Monroe School as our base. Major de- cision yet to be made by Town Officials. SHARE-A-VAN: transportation for the handicapped. *elcher explained the concept and the difficulties in setting up scheduling Connie Stohn to work from our office on Share-A-Van. SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS Recreation given by Barbara Luckmann. Visiting Nurse Association, formerly Tri-Community Health Servies, report given by Ann Jackson. All members joined in a warm farewell to Ann Jackson for a job well done! We shall miss her a great deal! No further business so moved, seconded, passed that meeting be adjourned at 9 00 PM.
