consider incorporating administrative expenses for Meals-on-Wheels
in the budget
Bernice Weiss reported three possible sources of funding Polaroid,
Raytheon Charitable Fund, and Lexington Public Trust Funds. Funding
from any of these sources would be a one-time-only proposition Rev
Goodwin read a letter he had drafted requesting funds from Polaroid
It was approved, with slight changes, by the Council, with instruct-
ions to check the letter with the Town Manager before mailing it
Ms. Weiss suggested sending a similar letter to Mr. Rutherford, with
a copy to Mr McEwen, of the Public Trust Funds.
Also discussed was the possibility of making M-on-W completely self-
supporting by increasing charges for meals, but it was decided to try
for funding this year and keep meal price at $11 25 per week.
3 Ann Paranya reported that 10 Friendly Visitors have been assigned to
visitees, most of these relationships proving to be highly satisfactory
