Gittleman; Jolley Anne Weinstock Others: Nancy Adler, Judith Zabin, RePlace; Dan Fenn, Selectman Minutes of 10/S Jeanne Luongo was not present. Donna Hooper's report Donna reported that Eva Havas and Roz Gittleman had been reappointed by the Board of Selectmen for a three- year term. An article had been submitted to the Minuteman to recruit an additional member. Donna was still working on the needs assessment. Coordinator's report Steve is helping to plan a computerized intake systems for the Council on Aging. Needs Assessment Jeanne will contact school nurses, Donna, the PTA and Jolley Anne, the clergy Subcommittees Enablement Committee (Rick Safford) Planning is going forward to incorporate expenditures relating to ADA requirements into the capital budget. Lexington Ridge, a new subsidized and market rate housing development on Waltham Street, was found to be in violation of ADA requirements. The Enablement Committee and Building Inspector has been working with one of the tenants and the management. A complaint to the Dept. of Justice may be filed against MacKay Hardware and Trinity Pharmacy since their owner has not been responsive to requests for making stores accessible. It is hoped to reach closure on completing recommendations for making Cary Hall arrPasible by January Recreation Eva Glick has been in touch with the Parents' Advisory Council (disability issues) at the high school. The Council is in favor of sensitivity training around disability issues for staff of various recreational programs in the town. Human Services Committee Minutes, 11/3/94 Page 2 Needs Assessment (new committee) Members are Jeanne Luongo, Eva Glick, Donna Hooper, and Roz Gittleman Evaluation(new committee) Members are Rick Safford, Eva Havas, and Jolley Anne Weinstock. Eva Havas and Steve Baran will look into outside consultants to plan for program evaluation as required in FY '95 human service contracts.
