for Community Outreach and decreased funding for both Child
Assault Prevention and Peer Leadership
2 Yes, administrative costs are included in the recommended
figures for Peer Leadership, Community Outreach, and Child
Assault Prevention Mrs Black noted that RePlace was giving
some thought to just how outreach would be provided in FY
'95 in terms of staffing patterns; also RePlace hopes to get
outreach funding in FY '95 from the School Department
( through its Mass Department of Education Comprehensive
Health Education and Human Services Grant Program This will
depend on how the schools choose to define outreach
3 The Committee helped the Human Services Coordinator to
submit his RePlace Departmental recommendation to the Town
Manager The Committee will submit its own request
independently to the Selectmen The amount has yet to be
determined The Committee was in agreement that RePlace
should maintain its own beeper system (the amount of savings
were RePlace to use Department of Public Works beepers would
be negligible
The suggested wording concerning the RePlace goal, outreach
program and peer leadership was acceptable
RePlace is planning to provide peer leadership at Clarke in FY
' 94 with peer leaders trained by the Support Committee for
Battered Women In FY ' 95, RePlace would like funding for
conflict resolution including help to battered women and their
families to be appropriated through RePlace RePlace would like
to provide staff to work with Support Committee staff while the
Support Committee can continue to make use of RePlace shelter
families (two are presently in operation with OFC licensing) for
adolescent teenagers in need of temporary housing
Public health tobacco funding from Health Department was not
useful to RePlace since it will be used for enforcement
