Minuteman Cane Award
Seymour Mandel to represent Human Services Committee on the
Minuteman Cane Award Committee , a group which will recommend the
awarding of a cane to a public-spirited elderly person
Minutes of 3/22 Corrections
The proposed date for the Fair Housing Forum is May 26 , not May 12
The Wood Street property which is of interest to the Special Needs
Committee is made up of two separate buildings for special needs
occupants and one building for staff

Discussion of RePlace statistical reports

as helpful
b Outreach reporting reviewed coding helpful in under-
standing what happens during these transactions See

is too dispersed , scattered between too many programs
leading possibly to ineffectiveness and burnout

Senior Health Monitor Program
Subcommittee is meeting to plan program with discussions of
assessment tool and staffing Questions are being raised by
the Council on Aging as to the appropriateness of the involvement
of the Human Services Committee in the planning of this program

Equity Sharing
A change in numbers from draft report reviewed by full Equity
Sharing Committee to final report presenting a less attractive
investment requires a reassessment by the Equity Sharing Committee
Steve Baran to be in touch with Paul Marshall about a meeting
time Abt Associates to be invited
Delay in responding to a report of abuse and neglect
Steve reported on a situation involving a Lexington resident
who sought help from LexHab and the Planning Board initially
about a problem of alleged abuse and neglect at Interfaith
Housing After several months she was finally referred by
John Eddison to the Human Services Coordinator
Information and referral, as well as outreach , to be on the agenda
for the next meeting
