HUMAN SERVICES COORDINATOR The first order of business was the review of progress on hiring a Human Services Coordinator. 56 resumes were received in response to advertisements and 4 candidates from the last search were included. Judy and Stan divided the resumes into groups as follows Definitely Interview 10 Maybe Interview 13 Rejections 37 4 Rapid movement on this is important because of contracts to be signed after town meeting and the pressure of continuing veteran' s affairs. Some help from the Town Manager ' s staff is available during the interim. 2. BUDGET Committee members who worked with agencies should call and ( unofficially advise the agencies that the human services budget was approved by town meeting. 3 . PUBLIC HEARING The Human Services Public Hearing was extensively reviewed Since the room was not available until June 19 we decided on that date and selected 3 00 to 8 OOp m. The Planning Subcommittee then reviewed the list of invited groups and several additions were made This needs to go to the Town Manager' s staff by May 12th so written invitations can be issued The invitation will specify a time for each group of agencies (i e , 4 OOp m for housing, etc ) but if any group needs another time they can have it We will not only have the Minuteman print the hearing notice but also the schedule so non-affiliated citizens can attend the section of their interest The basic format will be a statement and questions rather than a discussion on merits. The letter will specify we' d like a one page statement and this can substitute for actual attendance 4 The meeting adjourned at 8 05p m. and the next is set for May 19 at 7 30p.m.
