Minutes of January 14, 1980
Present. Nicky_oslporne, Barry Marshall, Carol Perez, Stephen Baran,
Ruth 6s , Ruth Nablo and Elizabeth Pressman
Absent Howard Levingston
The meeting was called to order at 7 35 p.m. by Carol Perez Nicky Osborne
read through the questions which she and Barry Marshall are sending to
Mystic Valley Mental Health Center. The Committee will get copies of the
letter she said. She then had to leave to attend another meeting
Stephen Baran read the first draft of his report on REPLACE Discussion
followed.
Ruth Osborne presented her outline for the profile of a human service
agency Discussion followed. She and Ruth Nablo stated that they would
have at least a rough draft of their report on CMARC next week.
The Committee then looked at Steve Baran's priority chart for the tasks of
the group Discussion followed
Mrs Perez said that she would contact chairpeople of various Town committees
dealing with health.
Ruth Nablo moved that the committee accept the findings of the Boston College
report as one of the tools for further study of human services in Lexington.
A discussion of child abuse followed.
The Committee asked to find out the drop-out rate at Lexington High School
Mrs Pressman gave an outline of the present status and past history leading
up to possible conversion of the Munroe School to a human services center
At the next meeting the Committee will try to define human services
