TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE
October 5, 1972
PRESENT Chmn Barnes, Mrs Litchfield, Mrs Reed, Mr Lord, Mr Brenchick,
Mr Fenske, and Mrs Hall
VETERANS DAY
Our Speaker of the Day will be Colonel Sigurd L Henson, Jr , Commanding
Officer, 3245th Air Base Group at Hanscom Field
Mrs Litchfield will write to our Board of Selectman inviting them to
participate on our Veterans Day parade and program, and specifically to ask
that Chairman Kenney read the proclamation of the day during our Green
ceremony
Mrs Litchfield will invite members of Lexington's clergy to participate in
our day's activities, and she will inform Mrs Hall of these names so that
they might be included in the roster
A letter from Chairman Kingston L Howard to our Committee was passed out to
those present This letter outlines the duties of the Town Celebrations
Committee for the 1975 celebration It will be discussed at our next meeting
The Committee will discuss and vote on the subject of a sum of money to be
alloted to the VFW for their post-parade collation at our next meeting
