over some details with him, and asked that he name his parade staff in the
near future
The traffic situation in East Lexington was discussed, and the use of Fern
Street or Follen Road for lining up parade units was suggested Chief Corr
suggested having some of his men use their walkie-talkies to properly inform
all parade units of any important information
It was suggested that we ask the National Guardsmen - strictly on a volunteer
basis - to assist our Police Department with crowd control on April 17th
Chief Corr will look into this
(Paul Revere's arrival at the Green)
When the Lexington Minute-Men meet with our committee on March 9th, the
committee will instruct the Minute-Men to move about 50 feet down
Massachusetts Avenue from the Minute Man Statue (as you face the statue,
it would be to its left), so that the traffic situation at this time will
be eased This was Chief Cgrr's suggestion, and the committee completely
agrees This change in placement would take place during the Paul Revere
arrival at the Green at approximately 1 P.M on April 17th
Mr Brenchick reported on his visit to the people who make armbands He
will now order 25 "Aide" armbands, an amount which will give us the best
price He will also order 3 "Town Celebrations Committee" armbands
The committee received inquiries from the Burlington Citation Drum and
Bugle Corps and a marching unit from Malden concerning our afternoon parade
Mrs Litchfield will write to both advising them that we will let them know
our decisions at a later date
Mr Brenchick will call the Pershing Unit of Northeastern University in
answer to their letter of inquiry and explain we would like to have them
march provided they comply to our parade rules re no throwing of guns, no
fixed bayonets, marching will be in a forward motion, etc
Mrs Moyle will again cater our reception at the Belfry Club following the
afternoon parade
Mrs Hall will notify Mr Mazarrell that the committee would like him to

Linda's Rangerettes of Woburn would like some money toward their
transportation The committee voted to give them $40 00 for this need
The Ancient and Honorables of Boston feel they need an accompanying
band in order to march in our afternoon parade We will refer this
request to the Minute Men, who take care of the 3rd division, and ask that
they keep our committee informed of any plans
