TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE
November 19, 1970
PRESENT Chmn Barnes, Mrs Litchfield, Mr Lord, Mr Gaughan, and
Mrs Hall
VETERANS DAY
Mrs Litchfield will write thank-you letters to the following
Senator Saltonstall , Thomas Wenham, and Donald Gillespie for their par-
ticipation in our Veterans Day program
SUGGESTIONS FOR INDOORS PROGRAMS:
These suggestions apply to both Veterans Day and Memorial Day
programs
I ) Have representation of all parade participants on the
floor of Cary Memorial Hall where they can be easily recognized by
the TCC Chairman for their participation
2) TCC members should check out the public address system in
Cary Memorial Hall prior to the program for any possible problems
3) All color guard units should be placed on one side of the
floor of Cary Memorial Half Facing the color guard units on the opposite
side of the hall would be the Lexington High School Band
4) All dignitaries, clergy, and TCC personnel should be seated on
the stage of Cary Memorial Hall
PATRIOTS DAY
Mrs Litchfield will invite all military groups to participate in
our Patriots Day parade of 1971
Mrs Hall will make the arrangements for the Patriots Day luncheon
at the Sheraton Lexington Inn on Monday, April 19, 1971
MISCELLANEOUS
Mrs Litchfield is authorized to pay any outstanding 1970 bills
before the end of the year
Our first 1971 meeting will be on January 7th, a Thursday night,
at 7 30 PM in the Bird Room of Cary Memorial Hall
