HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-10-08-TCC-min.pdf 426 TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE October 8, 1970 PRESENT Chmn Barnes, Vice Chmn Gaughan, Mr Broderick, Mr Fenske, Mrs Litchfield, Mrs Reed, and Mrs Hall VISITORS Commander Frank Sherman, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Past Commander Maurice Healy, American Legion VETERANS DAY Hanscom Air Base has found it will be able to send a marching unit for our parade The Lexington High School Band has also accepted our invitation Mrs Litchfield will ask Lawrence Stone to be our bugler for the day If he is unable to do this, we have been assured by Mr Gillespie that a High School Band member will perform the duty Mrs Litchfield will contact Mr Collins of the National Guard to secure a firm commitment for parade participation Mrs Hall will contact Rainbow and Demolay representatives and invite them to march in our parade Commander Sherman announced his parade staff would be almost identical to last year's staff It will be finalized by our next meeting MISCELLANEOUS Mrs Hall has been asked to type the permanent year's minutes in our TCC permanent record book The next TCC meeting will take place in the Bird Room, 3rd floor of Cary Memorial Hall , on Thursday evening, October 22nd, at 7 30 PM Respectfully submitted, Marilyn L Hall Recording Secretary 1 H
