HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-10-23-TCC-min.pdf 405 TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE October 23, 1969 PRESENT Vice Chmn Gaughan, Mr Broderick, Mr Fenske, Mr Lord, Mrs Reed, Mrs Litchfield and Mrs Hall VISITORS Commander Sherman V F W Quartermaster Hosford, V F W VETERANS DAY Commander Sherman, our Chief Marshal , announced his Aides for the parade They are as follows Maurice Healy, Past Commander Stanley Hill Post #38, American Legion Robert Cady, Past Commander, Lexington Minute Men Edward Fitzgerald, Past Commander, Lexington Post #3007, V F W Warren Hawkins, Past Commander, Lexington Post #3007, V F W Jerome Garrity, Past Commander, Lexington Post #3007, V F W Mr Lord will see that a bugler is on the Green for the call to colors He will contact Mr Gillespie of the High School Band for this person Mr Gaughan will make the necessary Green arrangements with Mr Mazarrell of the Park Department MISCELLANEOUS The committee read a letter from Mr Lawrence E Stone of the Lexington Minute Men giving his resignation for any further participation in our programs as bugler The committee was saddened, but understanding, and Mrs Litchfield will acknowledge Stoney's letter with our sincere appreciation Mr Gaughan will speak to Mr Barnes about raising funds for the remainder of the year's activities On Thursday, NOVEMBER 6th, at 8 PM in the Selectmen's office the TCC will meet to discuss next year's budget Also, the committee's recognition of Stoney's service to Lexington will be discussed and acted upon Mrs Hall was asked to type the permanent minutes in the TCC permanent record book for the committee Respectfully submitted, Marilyn Hall Recording Secretary
