TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE

PATRIOTS DAY Linn Village will play on the Green on Sunday afternoon
before and after the Patriotic Song fest The Drum Band wishes to march
in our afternoon parade on Monday Mrs Litchfield will look into this
matter
Mrs Litchfield will write to the Flying Redmen Drill Team at the
University of Massachusetts asking for their particulars as they wish to
participate in our parade She will also contact Mr Jones and give him
the option to choose either the Salem Rockettes or the Holy Family Defenders
of Rockland to march in our parade
The Lexington Minute Men wish to perform in conjunction with the program
planned for the Green on Sunday afternoon, April 20th Mr Barnes will ask
that they perform either from two to two-thirty or from four to four-thirty
Lady Lexington (on her float) will lead the motorcade in the parade
Mrs Litchfield will contact Fort Devens to find out their parade
arrangements, and to see if we will be giving them lunch
Mrs Litchfield typed a list of bands and marching units invited so that
the committee can quickly ascertain the acceptances and regrets She will
write an invitation to the president of the Prom-manaders Club at the High
School inviting Lady Lexington and her escort to be our guests at the luncheon
preceding the parade
The check list was reviewed again with a few changes made We will meet
next week Thursday evening, 8 PM, in the Selectmen's office
