TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE
January 9, 1969
PRESENT Chmn Barnes, Mr Gaughan, Mrs Litchfield and Mrs Hall
CORRESPONDENCE
The committee received a letter of thanks from Rear Admiral Benson
for our congratulatory note to him on his recent Swedish decoration
PATRIOTS DAY
The Board of Selectmen have directed the Town Celebrations Committee
to plan the celebration of Patriots Day for April 21st this year
Mrs Litchfield will invite the military units to participate in our
afternoon parade on the 21st
Mrs Litchfield will contact Mrs Moyle to see if she might be interested
in again catering the reception following the afternoon parade
At our next meeting (January 16th) , we will go over the Invitation List,
as well as the list of suggestions from last year's marshal Also, the parade
theme will be finalized
Our meetings will be scheduled as follows
January 23rd -- Past Chief Marshals
January 30th -- Civic Organizations {
February 6th -- Youth and Veterans Organizations
February 13th -- Fire and Police Personnel
