VETERANS DAY The Lexington Minute Men, High School Band, and Hayden
group; are available for the parade,
The v,F W. Post will he allowed $191,OO for a. collation following the
parade, Commander Ormiston will procure a ('hief Marshal and Aide ,
hopefully from the four Lexington veterans grntip;
Mr , Severance will check through Mr. Gaughan's contact, at Watertown
on whether or not the Commanding Officer there, Brig. Gen, William Mantz,
can be our speaker of the day. She will then notify Mr. O.rmistnn of the
✓ E.W. of her find' ng^„ If the General cannot, he our speaker, then
Mr. Ormiston will try to have Brig Gen Otis Whitney from Concord, who
is a member of the Lexington ST.F',W, Post, perform these dutie , The
results should be available by our next meeting,
Mr , Hall will contact the Boy Snouts, Girl. Scouts, Campfire Girls, and
so forth, to a.,k their participation in the parade,
Mr. Belcastro will tend to any preparatory matter on the Green for
TW Day and for Veterans Dry
its, Litchfield will contact the new mtni ter at the Greek Orthodox Church
after October 1st to take part in our Green program,
On October 26th, final plans will be made for Veteran Day Mr, Iitchfield
will notify the four Lexingtrn veteran, group; of this meeting,
Mn, Hall will re serve the Selectmen 's Office for our next two scheduled
meetings, namely October 12th and October 26th.
UNITED NATIONS DAY Mn , Hall will call the World Affairs Council and
order fifty TIM Day posters for di. •tribution through the Lexington stores
The Elks will sponsor the Poster contest prize, as before,
Mr- Litchfield ha- invited the four veterans group' to participate in
our 7 am ceremony on the Green on October 2l1th to celebrate united Nations Day.

Thursday evening, October 12th, nt 8 pm :in the Selectments office,
