TOWN CFLFBRATIONS COMMITTEE

PRESENT Chmn. Barnes, Mr, Belcastro, Mr Lord, Mr Sperd•tto, Mr . Litchfield,
Mr. Brenchick, Mr. Broderick and Mrc . Hall.
VISITORS Mr. Charles Sisk, Mr Raymond Lewis, and Mr. Arthur Miller, all
from the American Legion Post„
MEMORIAL DAY Mr Raymond Lewis will, be Chief Marshal .
Hanscom Field cannot send anyone to our parade because of earl ter bookings
The Girl Scouts are set for the wreathe-laving ceremonies. The Boy Scouts
and Hayden people have been alerted to march. Mrs. Iitch.field, Mrs.
Severance and Mrs Hall. will call the following groups to see if they
would like to march, since they could no` march on April 19th Boy Scotts,
Girl. Scouts, Hayden Fifers and Drummers, Christian Service Brigade and
Pioneer Girls, Rainbow Girls, DeMolay Boys, Campfire Girls, Colonial.
Squires and the 1 -H Horse Team. (The sunrise parade was cancelled because
of snow.)
Mr Leo Gaughan was unanimously elected to be the Master of Ceremonies for
the Memorial Day program on the Green.
Alan Van Fgmond, a seni.o, at Lexington High School, and. president of the
National Honor Society, will deliver the Gettysburg Andres' .
Mr. Sisk requested a car in the parade for those unable to march and this
was approved.
Mr. Lord will check into possibly having the Junior Highs° band in the parade
in addition to the High School band.
There will he two hu.se at Munroe School at Stir am to drive the parade
personnel to Westview Cemetery for se--vices there.
HSS LEXINGTON May 6th at 2 pm on the Green
The American Legion will send a. delegation to this service.
Mrs. Litchfield will. call Mr. Lincoln P. Cole, Jr. to give the welcmmn from
this Town at thi. sere ce. If he cannot he present, he will he asked to
send a delegate to represent Lexington

with suggestions for next year's Marshal, M_r. Barnes read it aloud to
the committee) and Mr. Brenchick received a hearty round of applause from
tho committee for an eucellent report and a. job well done®
Mrs Litchfield will write to (tans, Dm thanking them for the services of
their two men on April l th The men were in charge of the public
address system
